Catherine Garcia is an ordained minister and currently serves with her husband as the Executive Pastors of Freedom Life Church in Mission, Texas. She is a certified coach and speaker with the Maxwell Leadership Certified Team and has traveled extensively in Mexico, Southeast Asia, England, Northern Ireland, and Africa working on many different humanitarian/ministry projects and speaking engagements. She has been a proud citizen of Mission, Texas for over 28 years and has also lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and New York City, NY.
Cathy is very involved in the Mission Community. She recently served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Mission Economic Development Corporation and has previously served as the Madame Chairwoman for The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce. Cathy has served on the Board of Directors for the Mission Economic Development Authority, Mission Education Development Council. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for H.O.P.E. in Mission, Mission Prosperity Ventures, and LEAD Missions International. She is a former member of The Rotary Club of Mission, Texas. She is a graduate of Leadership Mission and over the years has served on many community committees such as the Mayor’s Prayer Luncheon, Mission’s Trash Bash, and Mission’s Sister City Programs, just to mention a few. Cathy serves the Community with great dedication and this commitment has earned her the distinguished honor of being named Mission’s Woman of the Year in 2015 and The Rio Grande Valley Walk of Fame Award in 2018.
Catherine and her husband, Eliud have been married for 28 years. They have two grown children, Juan and Elizabeth.
