From situational speaking to thematic speaking, to intentional motivational speaking, and guided inspirational speaking, Yaah Gladys Shang Viban’s mission is to use her voice as a tool for enabling people to break through self-imposed barriers so that they can unleash their total ‘beingness’ and ‘amazingness’.
With well over 28 years of experience in gender and youth empowerment programs, and well over 250 speaking engagements, Yaah Gladys Shang Viban has addressed university and secondary school students, women’s associations, civic society organizations, and church leaders at national and international levels.
She has appeared on numerous radio and television platforms, providing thematic and motivational talks on rediscovering, reinventing, and redirecting trajectories.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lead Missions International-Cameroon, as Advisory Board Chair of Hope for the Needy Association, (CSO), Board Member of the Bible Society of Cameroon, Executive Board Member of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Programs Officer for the SHEMKA FOUNDATION/Light Works, and Vice President of Soroptimist International, Yaounde-Cameroon.
Yaah Gladys Viban is passionate and committed to impacting and uplifting lives, communities, teams, and institutions. Her contributions have been recognized throughout her professional career and have earned her several awards of merit and distinction. She holds a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from Washington State University, Pullman, USA, and a Master's in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Montreal, Canada.
Her mantra is - “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.”
